Lampard: Chelsea Loss of Confidence

Chelsea's Frank Lampard considers the current situation is similar as has been experienced in the era of coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, 2009.

Carlo Ancelotti started to come under pressure after Chelsea had a bad lately. In the last 11 games in the Premier League, Chelsea only able to collect ten points. Even the big 7-0 victory over Ipswich Town in the FA Cup last week was able to drive the concerns over the appearance of Blues in the league.

"We have such a feeling if we were not sure what will happen when playing," said Lampard as reported by BBC Sport.

"End of gait Scolari like this. There is disappearing, that is the confidence to win every week. So we felt like that and lose confidence, it is difficult to return."

Chelsea deteriorated after management sacked assistant manager Ray Wilkins, last November. Chelsea are now nine points behind behind league leaders Manchester United.

Chelsea will face Blackburn Rovers in the league continued this weekend.

"We must continue to work with the same purpose, following the instruction manager, and if we do it, I'm sure we will see a turning point. It's a bad period, so do not make mistakes. We can not hide it anymore. This situation has already happened a long time, "he concluded.
